What You’ll Be Doing
Conduct on-site investigations of building failures, structural issues, and construction defects.
Analyze causes and origins of damage including water intrusion, roof failures, and system malfunctions.
Produce clear, well-written reports explaining your findings in simple terms.
Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings to support your conclusions.
Continuously develop your technical expertise through ongoing training and industry involvement.
What You Bring
Experience: 7+ years in civil or structural engineering post-graduation.
Education: B.S. in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering (M.S. preferred).
License: Active P.E. license required; S.E. license is a strong plus (where applicable).
Communication: Excellent writing and interpersonal skills; public speaking is a plus.
Independence: Comfortable managing projects and client relationships autonomously.
Flexibility: Willing to travel and physically able to perform site work (roofs, ladders, confined spaces).
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders/rooftops.
Enter confined spaces and maneuver through building sites.
Travel to job locations, occasionally on short notice.
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
