What You’ll Be Doing
Investigate: Conduct thorough on-site inspections of commercial and residential buildings to assess damage and determine failure causes.
Analyze: Perform engineering calculations and structural/mechanical evaluations to support your findings.
Report: Write clear, comprehensive forensic reports to be used by attorneys, insurers, and property professionals.
What You Bring
Experience: 5+ years of experience in forensic engineering (structural, mechanical, electrical, or industrial).
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.
License: Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in your state of residence.
Independence: Ability to self-manage workload, schedule, and deliverables with minimal oversight.
Communication: Strong technical writing and the ability to explain complex findings clearly to non-engineers.
Physical Requirements
Comfortable working in all outdoor conditions
Able to climb roofs, navigate attics, crawlspaces, and confined areas
Frequently required to stand, bend, reach, and walk
Capable of lifting and pushing up to 40 lbs
